Black Baseball History Month!... Baseballer Of The Week!...Cool Papa Bell!

Our 'Baseballer of the Week'

for this week

goes to:

The Big Black Guy, 6-0, 155, who was 'as fast

as lightning' around the bases, and was a 2x

Negro World Series Champion, and an 8x

All-Star Gamer, and routinely stole second

and third after getting a single or walk,

and he would irritate pitchers so much

that they were frequently charged with a

balk, and he had .325 career batting

average, and got into the MLB HOF

in 1974,

 plus more records...

...Cool Papa Bell!

Mr. Bell also had mid-upper-lip

Winge's Peak (elatus labialis wingeulus).

and Awed' us with too many to count,

fantastic and unexpected physical

heroics at the Ballpark, in exciting

efforts for their teams to cross home

plate more than their opponents to win.
