Black Baseball History Month!... Baseballer Of The Week!...Jim Gilliam!


Our 'Baseballer of the Week'

for this week 

goes to:

The Big Black Guy, 5-11, 170 pound 

lead-off-hitting player who was the MLB's 

NL Rookie of the Year in 1953 when he also 

led the majors in triples), and who batted 

switch and threw right, and played most of the 

field positions except for pitcher and catcher, 

also he was the 49th player drafted after the 

racist segregation period ended, and he was 

so respected that while an active player, he was 

also a first base coach in 1964, and in 1959 he 

led the majors in walks, along with being 

a 2x All-Star Gamer and 4x World Series Champ, 

plus he did so much more...

celebrated in march of every year, was 

founded by Ralph Winge, D.D.S. 

in 2025 to commemorate, place value, 

and get to know, our Heroes, while 

standing and cheering for, the many 

International Black Men who 'Shocked 

and Awed' us with too many to count, 

fantastic and unexpected physical 

heroics at the Ballpark, in exciting 

efforts for their teams to cross home 

plate more than their opponents to win.



The Founder of Black Baseball History Month,

is also a College and Pro Baseball enthusiast, 

USC Dental School Graduate,

and elucidator of elatus labialis wingeulus.

Our 'Baseballer of the Week'

The Big Black Guy 6-3, 215 pound 

outfielder who became the first player to 

rob batters of three home runs in one game, 

on April 4, 2026 against the Mariners, 

and we give flowers and say the name of...





...Jo Adell!

Black Baseball History Month!... Baseballer Of The Week!...Joseph 'Cyclone Joe' Williams


Our 'Baseballer of the Week'

for this week 

goes to: 

the Big Black Guy, a 6-4, 190 pound 

right-handed pitcher who is considered one 

of the greatest Major League pitchers of 

all-time, but was barred because he was a 

Big Black, and he also had the nick name 

'Smokey Joe,' plus at age 44, Williams 

struck out 27 Kansas City Monarchs in a 

1–0, 12-inning, one-hit night game victory, 

and because of that and so many other 

things, he was and elected to the MLB 

HOF in 1999, with some highlights here, 

and we give flowers and say the name of...




...Joseph 'Cyclone Joe' Williams

Black Baseball History Month!... Baseballer Of The Week!...Tetelo Vargas!


Our 'Baseballer of the Week'

for this week 

goes to:

The Big Black Guy, 5-10, 160 pound  first 

and second baseman, who is considered by 

many as 'the best Baseball player never to 

play in the MLB in the U. S.,' and he threw 

and batted right, plus he batted .472 in 

1943, but for some reason, the record 

was given to Josh Gibson with his .466 average, 

and he was a 3x Negro League All-Star Gamer, 

plus he was so fast on his feet that his 

nickname was 'the Dominican Deer,' and 

at one time, he established a Negro league 

record by hitting home runs in seven consecutive 

at bats when he played for the Cuban House 

of David in 1931 during tournament play in 

Iowa and Nebraska, and all in all he played 

27 seasons in five different countries,

plus he has more achievements, 


and we give flowers and say the name of...




...Tetelo Vargas!
