Black Baseball History Month!... Baseballer Of The Week!...Ernie Banks!

   

Our 'Baseballer of the Week'

for this week 

goes to:

The Big Black Guy, 6-1, 180, also known 

as 'Mr. Sunshine,' was a military man for 

two years, then played for the Kansas 

City Monarchs, then joined the Chicago 

Cubs in 1953, and was  voted the Rookie 

of the Year runner-up in 1955, and was a 

13x All-Star Gamer, plus was MVP in 

1958 and '59, while also being the Cubs 

first Golden Glove winner in 1960, 

and led the NL in HRs 2x, then 

he became a player/coach, with a statue 

erected of him outside of Wrigley Field 

in 2008, and was awarded the Presidential 

Medal of Freedom in 2013 by 

President Obama, 

and so much more...

and get to know, our Heroes, while

heroics at the Ballpark, in exciting 

efforts for their teams to cross home 

plate more than their opponents to win.

Black Baseball History Month!...Baseballer Of The Week!...Josh Gibson!

   

Our 'Baseballer of the Week'

for this week 

goes to: 

the Big Black Guy, 6-1, 220, who has the 

highest career batting average, .372 , and 

hit 'almost' 800 home runs,  and he had the 

highest single season batting average, .466 

in 1943,  and he has the highest-ever single 

season slugging percentage, .974 in 1937, 

and he had the best season slugging 

percentage for six years, plus the 

highest-ever career ops (On-Base 

Plus Slugging) at 1.177, and the highest 

single-season OPS at 1.474, and the 

MLB Hall of Fame was forced to admit 

him in 1972, and I wish they had 

video at the time, plus he won the Negro 

League World Series Twice,

and so much more...

ooBlack Baseball History Month!... Baseballer Of The Week!...Hilton Smith!

    

Our 'Baseballer of the Week'

for this week 

goes to:

The Big Black Guy, 6-2, 180, and he led the 

Negro League in wins 3x, and led in 

strikeouts 4x, while also batting.290, and 

came in to relieve Satchel Paige after two 

or so innings, because Satchel was the main 

Celebrity draw every game, and he won the 

pitching Triple crown in 1938, and many 

people said, "If you're on the other team, 

white or Black, you better get a hit off of 

Satchel, cause you ain't gonna touch 

Hilton Smith!," and Hilton was let into 

the MLB HOF in 2001, 

and so much more...

Black Baseball History Month!... Baseballer Of The Week!...Barry Bonds!

   

Our 'Baseballer of the Week'

for this week 

goes to: 

the Big Black Guy, 6-1,185, who has swatted 

the most home runs in MLB history at 762, 

which is seven more than Henry Aaron's 755, 

with no current players even coming close, 

and he also hit the most HR in a single 

season in 2001 with 73 'round trippers,' 

and pitchers were so scared of him that 

he has the most intentional walks at 688, 

which is more that twice the amount of 

the person in second place, plus he has 

the most walks, base-on-balls, in history 

with 2,558, and he has the most walks in 

a season with 232, and has the MLB 

record for highest slugging percentage 

in a season for at least five seasons, plus, 

for every 6.5 at-bats, he would hit a HR, 

and he was a 7x MVP, and 14x 

All-Star Gamer,

plus so much more...
